I give that area south of Hart Miller a wide berth. From Whorton I generally aim for the intersection of the cross bay channel's second green from the main channel up the pastapsco and down to the Bay Bridge. It is a crab free course usually. The area you sailed is occupied by a crabber who lays his pots on a stream of consciousness I think.
We saw 47 knots in a few gusts before we got behind the safty of Fort Smallwood Point
