I think that most of us have taken this question quite seriously and advised against the conversion because it would really alter the sailing characteristics of the boat probably quite negatively. We also have pointed out that done well the cost is quite significant +/- $3-4000 and that the original poster could take the resale price of his boat and the extra $3-4K and buy a boat that sails well enough to accomplish the better sailing ability that he is seeking.
