tuning rig

Hey all, does anyone have any good info on tuning your rig? We're stepping the mast on our boat in a couple weeks after having it delivered to the PNW. We're going to do the rigging/tuning ourselves. We marked all the turnbuckle positions prior to pulling the mast so if nothing else, we should be able to get it back to where it was at before pulling the stick. But I'd like to actively tune the rig.

Do you all use a Loos gauge to tune the rig? Or just eyeball it?
