I grew up on Penobscot Bay, but in the last couple of weeks moved my Bristol 35 from SW Harbor to St. Thomas. Ya, wet. My way of dealing with it was an alcohol heater - the little bucket type - with the hatch cracked for ventilation. The heater on low took the dampness off, made the bedsheets survivable. Spraying around the lockers, etc. infrequently with Clorox kept the mildew to a minimum. Lived on the boat in the summer of ''98 on the dock at Peaks Island. It rained HARD for the whole month of June. I''d get home from work in Portland, start the heater - on low if it was warm out - go catch some little pollock, make a chowder, turn on the TV and by then everything would be liveable. Oh yeah, Hella turbo fan to move the air around. I know it''s impossible to get comfortable in the dank sheets, but the heater....I think Hamilton''s got them for around $100... worked fine. KW
