You are better off with a hole either side of the bow to allow water to drain out regardless of heel. A small (say 1/2") plastic feed-thru is all you need.

This is what it looks like on our boat and it works great:

DO NOT drain the anchor well into the bilge - you'll then have to pump the crap back out somehow and you want as little water as possible in the bilge of a small trailable yacht.
