We sail the coast of New Brunswick and the coast of Maine. We have had beautiful 10 knot breeze go south on us really fast, with wind coming in horizontal. We reef early and we reef often. It keeps the commodore happy.

I would like to be able to handle the main sheet (traveler is in front of the dodger), the first reefing point, the boom vang and the main halyard from the cockpit.

I have only heard about mast plates and would like to see one in operation.
