The reporters will be digging into it all now and it is starting to look like it wont be too pretty (secessionist party affiliation, creationism in the schools, etc.) Now you may LIKE secessionism or creationism in your kids' science class but most people dont. They also like to see a candidate able to answer EVEN ONE QUESTION about foreign affairs. Sarah Palin has yet to do that and most of us suspect it is because she cant.

So cheer all you like, but it is very clear that Palin was a political gimmick - and not one that was very well investigated ahead of time

If anything this makes me nervous about how McCain makes decisions. He shot from the hip on this one and it sure looks like he missed with everyone except die hard conservatives.

But she sure is better looking than Joe Lieberman

The fact that Palin's daughter was pregnant was a no time a secret, it's well know in the local community. McCain selected a VP with proven Executive ability, i.e., qualified to govern, not posture and make speeches.

Rumor mongers saying Trig is Bristol's child are just plain idiots, Sarah Palin was obviously preggers for nine months and in the media's eye during that time.
Smear tactics aren't new, but this one is just stupid.

As to Foreign Policy, I'd like to hear Obama (the presidental candidate who should be deciding policy) answer one question on Foreign Policy coherently, and then stand by that answer for more than two weeks without word smithing and 'I meant to say" corrections.
I'd also like to know what Joe has done that qualifies him for VP, because frankly I haven't seen it and I've been looking.
