Really? Where does it say that? What I read is the she did say "no thanks," albeit only after the project got labeled "The Bridge To Nowhere."

Unlike Michigan, where our conribution to the federal money pit has consistently exceeded what we got out. I have an idea: Let's pass a balanced budget amendment, then reduce money sent to the feds to the point it's barely able to operate, then cut just a bit more? She did and still does command the Alaska National Guard. Just as Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal commands that states National Guard, as illustrated by his activating it prior to hurrican Gustav's landfall.
