Interesting Don0190, I've never been burned by a tequila, Hot peppers on the other hand... I think traditional boat beverages should abide by the "when in Rome" rule. While flying the Mexican courtesy flag, all traditional beverages should contain tequila, while flying the Brazilian courtesy flag, they should contain cachaca, and while sailing in sugar cane country (except Brazil) they should contain rum. Seems like a fair solution to me.
