Add the Oday 322 to the list for consideration. Its got 2 real cabins, sugarscoop swim platform and is available in your price range.

Also, though I have no experience in the area what-so-ever, I think I'd take the 40 minute drive to avoid having to deal with the conditions in that picture. Of course I live in an area where I spend 3 hours a day commuting to and from work, so a 40 minute drive to go sailing is nothing.
