The 1/2004 issue of Cruising World has a review of 14 rigid tenders, including the Walker Bay 8 and RID 9.
BTW, I bought the Portabote 10''6" two years ago and I think it''s the best all around boat for the money based on its size, weight, stowability and carrying capacity. It also supports an engine that weighs up to 44 pounds. The 4HP 2-stroke engine I bought for it weighs 38 pounds empty.
The CW review doesn''t include the Portabote 10''6", but they did test the Portabote 12.
