Now look who's playing politics..

Oil is the short term solution to our country's energy requirements. Even the oil experts say that there just isn't all that much left. Forget sending our boys in to securre oil wells, forget tax breaks for oil companies, but give it for exploration. I hope we tax the bejesus out of oil companies after the rape and pillage that has been allowed for the past 8 years. They have it coming, and they know they have it coming. They all became obscenely wealthy and totally disregarded the fact that 4000 servicemen died in the process.

The real future is in renewables. The common ground is nuclear of course. We have to S O L V E our energy problem, not slap yet another political band aid on the it, or kill more of our sons and daughters to keep oil flowing. This is a zero sum game.

While were on the subject, I have a question. When oil hit $150 a barrel, I was paying $4.05 a gallon at the pump. It's now $93 a barrel and has been less than $105 a barrel for over a week. How is it that I'm paying $3.78 a gallon today?

Forget traders, oil sheiks, oil companies. Lets find a real alternative to handing the arabs $$ trillion per year.
