Rural people hate this bailout. Rural people did not participate nearly as much in the real estate bubble, have far less exposure to these ARM loans, have fewer assets in 401k's and in the stock market, borrow less money for new cars and expensive homes, etc. Rural people know they are getting taken advantage of, that city people and city institutions are suddenly scrambling for cash so they are using the government to take rural people's savings away from them through higher taxes to pay for their own problems, problems they created for themselves.
There, that should generate some discussion.
