You are going to have to shop around THOROUGHLY for insurance quotes to get the best deal on the coverages you want.
I took an intro yacht surveyor course and one exercise was to get a quote for the same boat (Pearson 30') from 4 different carriers: AllState was one IIRC, you should find 3 others and even look at using the insurer that covers your home and auto policies.
You will have to purchase additional insurance for any trips you take outside of your base coverage area; any trips to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico or SA will be additional. I can't remember the name(s) of the international carriers to use either.
