A boat for Bermuda and the Caribbean

I am looking for a boat to take me to Bermuda, then the Caribbean for a year of cruising with my girlfriend. I started looking a few months ago figuring it would give me all winter to outfit the boat and some leverage with owners trying to avoid winter storage bills. I am looking for a boat comfortable to live aboard for a year and safe enough to make the crossing to Bermuda. I am not worried about performance.

I found this Pearson 365 and was wondering if anyone would recommend (or not recommend) this boat for what I am thinking about doing. Also, what price would represent a "good deal" for this boat. They are asking 39,500 but I think it could be had for less.

Thanks,
