Once you've done some pretty thorough field trials, please post your experience with those gauges. I'd be curious to hear more about the reliability, features, etc. Especially how well their "Wind Mode" works. I suppose I'll be forced to replace all the B&G and settle in on SeaTalk. I really don't like the NMEA communications, but will use my 1000 mile journey from San Diego to Cabo to possibly figure out if the buffer setting can be modified.
One mysterious item on the E120 is that it shows "True Wind" and "Ground Wind." I only have one wind gauge at the mast head, so it's a mystery where/how ground wind is being calculated. It's always higher than the "True Wind," which is a masthead reading.
