Peggy Noonan recently wrote that if Obama governs much like Bill Clinton over a center-right populace (that'd be us) that he stands a chance of having a moderately successful presidency. Which is about as kind a light as one can cast the Clinton presidency in. If he governs as his leftist impulses and his supporters of the Barney Frank ilk dictate he is going to find it an uphill slog against the American public and his approval ratings will make the current office occupant's look stellar.
I hardly think that the majority of Americans think that there is 25% of the Pentagon's budget that is ascribable to fraud, waste, or abuse. And to make the Frank case one must assume one of two things; either we live in a safe world or we live in a world where the US military and our use of it is responsible for our lack of security. I look forward to Frank, or anyone else, making either argument just for the entertainment value alone.
