Palin was never brought in to attract moderates, or women. That's a meme of the MSM. Palin was brought in to energize the base, something McCain couldn't do. It was McCain that was suppose to attract the moderate/undecideds, not Palin.
Election 101 - a candidate does not win the eclection without his base. Just doesn't happen. McCain needed someone to excite the base and get them active. Palin was the best choice for that, as there was no other Conservative who could have to the extent she has. To somehow expect that she would attract moderates, while exciting the base is illogical at best, and simply stupid at worst.
