We've used a cradle that consisted of 4 posts (4x4 square tube) c/w adjustable pads connected with scaffold type scissor braces. Easily fits into the back of a small truck or van when collapsed. I believe a company in the Okanogan area of BC produced them.. Worked great. A long ways from you but I could try to find out the company name if you like.
