Depends where you are departing from. If St. Clair, you''ve got an eight hour trip upriver to lake Huron, or about the same to return from Lake Erie. Both sort of count out a weekend trip.
Some folks on St. Clair visit Canada, either Belle River or the Thames. Not long trips, but easily done in a weekend.
