Well...this is to officially remove Camaraderie from the "boats for sale" list. She has been sold
to a fine couple who already circumnavigated in the 1970s on a home built boat. I'm sure they will take good care of her and use her well.
We had the survey last week as well as the sea trial and we had her with full sail up in 25kts. steady....gusting over 40 on the Chesapeake and she gave us a great ride at 9.1 kts. Not bad for an old "tub" eh Giu?!
Anyway...that will be a good memory for me.
To answer the inevitable questions. The agreed upon sale price was less than 10% off my last asking price. On survey we found fairly major stuff that needed to be fixed and the price was dropped accordingly to make the deal happen. That is as much as I am going to say about the deal other than to say that my advice that a surveyor will always save you money has not changed!
Anyway...on to other things. No RV jokes just yet please...I'll give y'all plenty of advance notice when that happens!
And to Camaraderie...thanks for taking care of us so well, through so much. We shall never have a finer vessel. Amici.
