Safe summer Caribbean bases
We are taking delivery of a Hylas 46 in Novermber. We will initially keep the boat in Tortola. We would like to keep the boat south of 12 degrees north for the summer. We are VERY new to sailing and would like opinions on where to base the boat in the summer as regards (1)hurricane avoidance, (2) availability of dockage and services, and (3) attractiveness as a cruising ground from June-November.
