Cal 39-4 by Hunt
The ''88 Hunt version appears substantially different from earlier Cal 39''s usually spoken of. The cockpit and cabintop have been updated and the stepped transom seems wider, but I can''t be certain it''s not the original hull. J is reduced by 1.4'' while E is 1.75'' longer. I wonder if the keel has been revised or the balance diminished? I wonder if quality control was improved at pan / bulkhead / hull junctures? I wonder about the FRP layup specs and blister experience? I guess I''ll have to take a closer look for it must be a rare bird. Thanks, Blues.
