cleaning sail
This will mark my first winter for my new used boat. The sails that came with the boat are relatively new (under five years old) which were stored in the PO garage. I have called a number of sail lofts for quotes for inspecting, cleaning and storage. My dilemma is that I have been quoted rates for by “the square footage” and by “the pound” of the sails. I plan on dragging out the bathroom scale out to the boat this weekend to take the weights. I was wondering if anyone out there might have a general idea which pricing might be the most economical? My sails are reported to be 470 square feet of standard medium weight cruising cloth.
