Provided they come with the standard factory warranty, I don't see any real issue with buying "refurbished" or "re-manufactured" electronics.

If they come with a shorter warranty, then that may be an issue. In either case, I'd connect them ASAP and run them for about a week straight. IIRC, most electronics will fail in the first 100 hours if they're going to fail.
