Balmar Alternator Eating Belts

Thanks Rich,

I was wondering about the belt "settling in", however because the first belt went so quickly I''m a bit worried about loosing a belt in a bad spot, i.e., narrow channel with rocks and currents getting in/out of my marina (<:. I''m toying with the idea of swapping pulleys from the stock Yanmar (Hitachi) alternator, which seems to be fine and has no trouble with belts, with the Balmar. If they are the same size, so there are no alignment issues, and if it fits the Balmar, I don''t see why that wouldn''t solve the problem.

Thanks,
Steve
