Boat Christening
Greetings to all!
I have reviewed all the posts I could find about denaming/renaming boats. There were 2 refrenced sites:
1) http://www.48north.com/aug97/denaming.htm (which I believe is inactive) and
2) http://www.globalpsychics.com/lp/Superstition/boat.htm
I am in a unique position in that my 30 year old boat which I have completely rebuilt this winter, was never named. It looks like the launching/naming/christening will take place on June 19. The pastor from our church is a Sunfish sailor and has offered to come out to bless the boat (it doesn''t get more official than that!).
We are looking for as many samples of ceremonies as we can find so that we can put together the proper event. Any suggestions or references are welcome.
