When staying in Rockland for turnarounds on my schooner adventure last summer I was with a couple locals and heres what I got out of it:
-Cafe Mirandas is apparently one of the good restaurants there.
-I ate at suzuki and it was good but a little pricey just like all sushi
-The black bull is nice just normal pub food
-Whatever you do stay away from the Rockland Cafe many people have gotten sick from there food including myself
-the trade winds is an ok hotel but I would stay with a B&B, there is also a nice hotel up rte 1 that is fairly new.
-You really cant go wrong on the schooners the appledore out of Camden is a good boat and so is Olad from what I've heard from fellow crew.
-O and a good little diner is the brass compass on the corner by the trade winds is great for breakfast.
