Yes, Actually in all of California the construction of new marina facilities has not kept pace with demand. It is most difficult for slips 50'' and larger. Now for the good news, you can find a slip in most of the larger ports like San Diego, SF, & LA. Attached are websites for a bunch, it''s easier to find in December than July. Many places that are very popular have waiting lists, I''m in Dana Point and got a slip right away in Dec. cause they had 6 open under 30'', now there are zero. Friend has been on waiting list for over 50'' for years and that wait is estimated at 9 years. There are some newer marinas in SD that advertise openings in Chula Vista.
