If you really want to learn something about navigation, buy Richard Hubbard's book, Boater's Bowditch
. Worth every penny.
So I'm going on a college spring break trip (first real cruise) from Ft. Lauderdale to Bimini and parts surrounding. Responsibility for navigation is turning out to be a "group effort".
Any navigation 101 advice? Books? Somewhere I can learn a thing or two in the next month?

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
