Kind of makes you wonder what else Daschle was into that he didn't want out in the open. There would have been some embarrassing questions then he would have been confirmed. What does he know that the President doesn't know?
Or is the lobbying industry just too good to walk away from (even after taxes). He already has the Senate health and pension plans. What's he need from a cabinet post.
