I'm not able to say "them" when talking about people who have been laid off because I personally know people who are sitting at home right now, tonight, who have been laid off in the past two months. It's hitting rural areas hard, not as some faceless number on a press release, but instead as real people losing their jobs, people I know. Having watched the discussions of the stimulus in detail I haven't seen a thing yet that I think is going to actually help the people I know, not one single thing.
