cal 39 keel bolts please help!
Hi I own a 1971 Cal 39' . I think its time to replace the keel bolts. I was told the keel is mounted to the bottom of the hull with kind of a " I beam " and you can actually remove the nuts from the inside of the boat one at a time and with a sledge hammer drive the bolt down through and it will break through the fairing from underneath and you can replace them one at a time then refair back over them once you have done them all. A guy who said he owned a 1971 cal 39 told me this was how he replaced his. Any info would greatly help I cant find any info on this at all on the web.
