I would add one comment to what I said above ...

The most amazing thing to me about this evening's speech by Obama wasn't anything Obama said but rather CNN's coverage of what he said. I have been sitting here for half an hour watching this panel talk about the Obama speech and all they have talked about the entire time is what it means for Republicans, Democrats, who wins, who loses, different political angles, what it means for elections in four years, and on and on .. the amazing thing is that I haven't heard a SINGLE WORD about whether the stimulus package is a good idea or not. None of their guests are economists, there hasn't been a word spoken about the merits of the plan, they haven't once even mentioned the words "interest rates", WTF ? I mean I'm waiting for them to start talking about his choice of ties or what color his shoes are, you'd think they might actually be interested in discussing the subject matter of the damn speech, the whole reason the man was even on television. It's like the only thing CNN is worried about is what Democratic and Republican strategists think about what Obama said, etc, and they don't even care one iota what the economic impact of the stimulus plan might be, I mean it seems like the President might as well have been out there talking about the Westminster dog show and it wouldn't matter.
