You dont wait for doctor's appointments, sometimes for weeks or months? Many of the rest of us do. That is rationing.

More than that, perhaps you were unaware, but getting the medical care needed is simply beyond the budgets of many people. That is called rationing and the mechanism is doing it by price. In fact, more than 40 million people in this country have no health insurance at all. That number will grow as the depression deepens.

You can certainly believe that rationing by price is OK or better than the alternatives but it is still rationing.

And if you dont believe me that wait times in the US are worse than those with universal health care, perhaps you might want to read this article from Business Week which last I knew was certainly not a left wing rag
