I had a doctor about 5 years ago that stacked patients and when I called to set an appointment for my yearly physical I was told the earliest opening was 5 months out.
No problem, I checked around and found a doctor that would see me in 3 days. Turns out that my NEW doctor does not stack patients. He actually spends time with me approximately 90 minutes when conducting a physical and does everything himself. He also calls me personally with the results good or bad.
A couple of years ago I had to get liver biopsy and the referral doctor could not see me for 6 weeks. I called my Doctor and he found someone closer that could see me in 3 days.
The same issue came up when I had to have the dreaded colon snake procedure. Just looked for another doc that could do it sooner.
I guess I should have sent a letter to my previous doc and thanked him for being greedy which caused me to find a better doctor.
The nice thing about all of this is I had the OPTION to do so instead of having the government telling me what I had to do. The point being that every one has this option. If you get poor service from a business you find a different business to go to. Doctors are no different. Sck, you might try it instead of complaining.
