Curiously browsing the markets, just trying to get some basic knowledge.
(thinking mostly of coastal and cross-ocean cruising)

Does anyone have opinions/facts on the pros/cons of the different hull types?

Wood?
Fiberglass?
Steel?
Aluminum?
Composite?
Ferro-Cement?
Others?

Any input would be helpful.
