Hi Ken..so your leaving San Diego for Lake Pleasant???? to bad...I guess you have been to the lake? We had a 25 foot catalina and we found that the best sailing there is in the winter time. The lake is 5 miles by 2 miles and in the summer it is usually too hot to sail and hardly any wind. Lots of powerboaters and cigar boats with that speed mentality. We have had a lot of fatalities there (powerboats) because in the summer they drain the lake out about 100 feet. Which shrinks the size of the lake and you see islands and rocks and things that aren''t visible in the winter. In October they start filling the lake back up. It is a beautiful marina. One of the nicest you will find. I hope you can get some sailing in. Morning and late afternoon around 4 is a good time to sail and you will see some sailboats out then. If you know all this just disregard. Just thought incase you needed some info take care and good luck!
