Of course, my earlier post quoted Franklin, another main founder, as saying he clearly did not believe in the divinity of Jesus.......so explain that one away when you get a chance.
Of course, he said you can believe it if it does you good:
""I see no harm, however, in its being believed, if that Belief has the good Consequence, as probably it has"
I feel the same way. But don't confuse your personal and private beliefs with the secular country the founders set up. If that happens, then the beliefs loses it's Good Consequence, as old Ben would have said.
