Bene...glad you had a good experience. On mine...there was a small piece of line that ran from the "tail blade" to a slip ring on the post that you use to turn the vane out of the wind and stop the blade by back winding it. There is another slip line from the pole with a loop on it that you then use to tether the blade as the vane then swings back into the wind without spinning the blades. I'm sure the manual shows this is simple and easy and more reliable than anything electronic.
