I won't really know what kind of access to the backside I have until this weekend. We launch and that is the next time I'll be up at the boat. I had the same thing happen on my 2001 Beneteau 361 last fall! I contacted Rig-Rite, but the replacement cap was pricey. I decided to just replace the fitting with something from West Marine, but the hose is a different size! I went back to Rig-Rite and bought the cap.
