YC burgee etiguette

Reading the various publications available it's pretty clear that the "rules" say you should only fly one club burgee at any given time, and that you should (duh) fly the burgee of the club whose event/facility you are attending. Makes sense for such occasions to be sure.

When cruising alone ourselves, however, a benefit of flying your club burgees is to inform others that you're a member, and can lead to meeting fellow members or interested parties that you may not yet have met. This can enhance the cruising experience, and lead to new friends, etc.

My question today is this:
We are active members of two clubs, and of course have a Sailnet burgee as well.. Is it "gauche" of us to fly all three burgees on the flag halyard for the reasons stated above? I'd qualify also that these are rather casual clubs, not of the vaunted "Royal" labels....

What say you experts??
