you must have skipped over the part of the post where I mentioned I was against many, if not most, of the policies. But that would be true with any President.....at least to me, it would.

I can't speak for republicans, but I can say that those of us in the middle are realistic. At 55 years old...if you think I am dumb enough to think that ANY President can accomplish instant miracles....well, then you either must not be as old as I am, or a true believer.

Realistic = looking at the options and picking the best available one.

In the scheme of people who are in politics who COULD rise to the level of President of the United States.....I would put him in the top 10%.

If I were foolish enough to think he was going to go lockstep into my grand idea of Utopianism or Perfection, I probably shouldn't be voting.

As the grand one so declared himself in a metaphor I often use for other things (like life, in general)....."The ship of states turns slowly".

I am not pleased as a Democrat. I am pleased as a human being. And I definitely would not be pleased if I looked closely at every compromise and delayed action. But, then again, most people would not enjoy watching sausage or scrapple (know what that is?) being made, but they love the end results.

Hopefully that makes it clearer. I have my own POV but would NEVER be foolish enough to think that I have any more than one out of a couple hundred million which influence our government...and that is probably a good thing!
