After scaring seniors with a non-existent cut in SS benefits by McCain, the NYT reports today that: "For the first time in more than three decades, Social Security recipients will not get any increase in their benefits next year, federal forecasts show." (Referring to no cost of living increase)
In the Democrat lexicon, anything less than the full "expected" increase of funding for any item, is a cut. (ie: a 5% increase, if a 7% is expected, is not an increase, but a cut. I know it sounds ridiculous, but go back and read any press release where they cite a cut in funding by the GOP, and you'll see it's true.)
So, using the Dems own semantic tricks, Obama is "cutting" SS benefits.
