Vigilantes are frowned upon down here too. I don't know why you would assume that would be hard for an American to understand. Use of a firearm to defend one's life is "
reasonable" down here. Is it unreasonable up there?
Also, the article you posted, what exactly is it evidence of? That 27,000 of your neighbors approve of vigilantism, or that one person (the author) does not?
