Odd. This past weenend (May 30th '09) we were in Blind Bay on Shaw Island. There is a deadhead that is not moving. (Maybe the roots are snaired in kelp or weed???)

As you enter the bay with the "Rock Below" sign on your Port and the little island to Starboard, the deadhead is about 150 yds south of the rock sign (making it still on your Port). It's far enough from the moored boats at the south east end of the bay so that it should not interfear with anchoring but if the anchorage is crowded or if after entering you make a Port tack, you could hit it.

About 10" of it sits above the water from low to high tide but the angle of the log changes.
