Sorry to say but it is cheaper to liveaboard than in an apartment etc. Yes things break or quit working on a boat, but not all at the same time. My slip fee is $324 including electric and water for a 36' boat. Liability ins. $300,000 costs $247 a year! Same insurance quote from Boat US that everyone thinks is so great $859.00. If you do the work needed on your boat yourself and don't have a 50' boat with washer/dryer, tv, microwave, ac ect. and you pay the Marina to do all your maintaince it is cheaper.
