Sounds like you are venting at yourself for listening to the nay sayers. Something I have learned is to listen, chew on it, and spit out what doesn't make sense. The rest I put in a pigeon hole somewhere in my brain. Hopefully I will remember which hole it is in when I need it!
Everybody gets through life differently. Some are good with their hands. Some can imagine what has never been seen, DaVinci, some are creative, some are brain surgeons, pilots, mechanics, etc. etc., but no one man can do it all.
What works for you may not work for someone else who has two left hands. Then again they may have skills you will rely on some day, that brain surgery, etc. etc. Many times in life you will find it is not what was said, but how it was said............i2f
