The problem with Urbanna is it is 10-11 miles up the River from the bay. I had a slip there for one year then moved to Deltaville. It is easier to do the 1/2 hour in the car than the 3 hours by boat to the Bay. Urbanna is a great place to sail TO...not a great place to sail FROM unless you have a small boat and just want to sail on the river.

The route 3 bridge is 110 ft. high...no worries.

Nauti...glad yer having some fun. Yeah...the drive sucks...we used to leave Fri. evening and not come back till Sunday evening just to make it worth while. Day sails are out of the question. Even is West Point had a marina....it is a LONG way from the bay and decent sailing. Some Richmonders go over to the Potomac to Kinsale but that is just as bad as deltaville and more out of the way.
