actually, it really is pretty easy. the first module takes some fiddling but once you do it for one module all the rest are exactly the same. If you need to cut some in half for edges or corners you can do it with a pair of scissors. Just be sure to print out the pictures they have on the website and bring it with you to the boat. Not too hard at all.

The only thing I would say is that there is a comment somewhere in their literature that you can leave two halves of the system disconnected so as to be able to get at storage under the bed more easily. I tried this and it didnt work - the two halves slid around and caused problems. But when I went ahead and connected them to make one big mat on the v-berth it was still not too hard to access the storage beneath because you can sort of roll the mat back on itself without having it come apart. Besides, if you are like me, you have stuff under the v-berth that you dont need to get at very often.
